The Therapy Ball Turns 10!  YES, 10!

Back in 2009 a dedicated group of volunteers consisting of members of the NSEEP-PTO and Friends of NSEEP came together to host the first Therapy Ball at Barbagallo’s.  There were lots of silent auctions, food, but most importantly a community of people dedicated to raising funds to support the North Syracuse Early Education Program, an inclusive preschool setting.  Schools like it in surrounding counties had unfortunately faced such drastic budget cuts that they had been forced to close.  Research consistently shows how important preschool education is and how important intervening at the earliest possible chance is for those children that face challenges.  Those volunteers all shared the vision that Main Street was a precious resource that had to be preserved.  After the successes and learning experiences of the first Therapy Ball, Friends of the NSEEP made it their annual big event.  Here we are going into the 10th!  Seems unbelievable!  We thank Barbagallo’s for donating the space for our event every year since it began, that generosity is so appreciated!  We thank the volunteers that have been with us from the beginning as well as all the new faces that have joined us over the years!  And we thank each and every one of our supporters – from the donors who have given so generously to the people that have attended our event!  Over the years the Therapy Ball has raised over $100,000!  We have been able to purchase many necessities for the school and invite you to look at the ever-growing list.
